Project Summary
Planned, designed and implemented a web site to market the 106th Annual Convention and Trade Exposition to potential attendees, sponsors and exhibitors. The second goal of the site is to provide important information for convention attendees, such as programming, child care, and social events. It was important to maintain the visual identity already established in print publications such as the Schedule at a Glance (PDF, 1.57mb), Exhibitor Prospectus (PDF, 1.8mb) and the Preliminary Program (PDF, 4.8mb). The web site must also accomodate future growth as new content becomes available for publishing. Technologies used: HTML, SSI, CSS, JavaScript/DHTML, PHP, CGI/Perl

Additionally, accomodations have been made in layout and technology to better handle in-house and vendor ads. Technologies used: HTML, CSS, ASP (CrownPeak CMS input templates)

NCPA Web Site Redesign
Project Summary
In Fall 2003, a new Content Management System was selected for NCPA. In addition, image licensing expiring further underscored the need for a design update for the NCPA web site. Implementing the site into new templates through the CMS allowed for the correction of many substantial technological concerns throughout the site, such as a lack of core navigation (each page was separately coded with navigation) and other global functions, inefficient usage of HTML, lack of core style documents (CSS), and use of server-side scripting where client-side scripting would be more efficient. Content areas and navigation labels were also clarified and streamlined for increased usability. The new, current design fits more smoothly with association-wide branding and marketing efforts, and utilizes the established corporate colors. Technologies used: HTML, SSI, CSS, JavaScript/DHTML, CGI/Perl, ASP (CrownPeak CMS input templates)
